Las Vegas: Off the Strip
Photos by Sophia N. Ahmad
Last weekend, I found myself in Las Vegas. I never pictured myself taking a Vegas vacation, but I've been craving new landscapes for a while. When my cousin asked me to tag along for a quick trip, I jumped at the chance.
Vegas is known for the Strip, where I took the first two photos. It's where you'll find all the huge casinos and resort hotels. 18b is the city's art district, removed from the bright lights of the Strip. I had one day to explore there, and I was determined to do it on foot. I must have just skimmed the edges of the neighborhood. I'm sure there is lots more to see!
A few places I recommend ... If you love antique house wares, check out Sin City Pickers. If you like the color pink and lots of butter on your toast, try Vickie's Diner. Don't forget Luv-It for frozen custard.
These are a mix of photos I took with my iPhone, DSLR and a disposable camera.
